# KIR — Payment Provider

Krajowa Izba Rozliczeniowa (KIR) runs key parts of Poland's payment system infrastructure, including the Elixir interbank clearing systems. KIR holds a national payment institution licence from the KNF (IP51/2021). Under that licence it offers KIRPay, a payment initiation service that moves money directly from the payer's bank account to the payee's. For merchants, it offers Paybynet, which lets e-shops take payments straight from a customer's bank account, and Qlips, which delivers bills and invoices to customers through their mobile and online banking.
