About

The payments market, organized.

Accepting payments is a solved problem. Choosing who to accept them with is not. There are more than 1,300 payment providers worldwide — acquirers, PSPs, orchestrators, banking-as-a-service platforms — each with its own pricing model, country coverage, payment methods, risk policy, and integration surface.

The information a business needs to decide is scattered: pricing pages that don't match sales calls, feature matrices that skip the fields that matter, licenses buried in regulator databases. Evaluating the market honestly takes weeks, and the spreadsheet is stale before it's finished. Integration adds another round — SDKs, sandboxes, settlement schedules, and compliance requirements that often surface only after the contract is signed.

PaymentProviders.io turns that research into structured data. Every provider in the directory is profiled on the fields that decide the choice — fees, payment methods, countries, platforms, features, licenses, settlement — and kept current, so comparing the market takes minutes instead of weeks.

What we operate

The directory

1,300+ providers, comparable side by side and filterable by category, region, country, and payment method.

The matching engine

Business criteria in, a 0–100 scored shortlist out — with reasons, risk flags, and estimated monthly cost.

Introductions

Merchants opt in to contact the providers they shortlist; those providers — and only those — receive a qualified lead.

MCP server & Data API

The same data, readable by AI agents and platforms — matching, search, comparison, and listing management as tools.

Provider listings

Providers claim their profile and keep it accurate — from the portal or through their own agent.

Who it's for

Merchants use the directory and the matching engine to shortlist providers on facts. Platforms and consultancies build on the Data API and MCP server to bring provider discovery into their own products. Providers maintain their listing and reach businesses that are actively choosing.

How we make money

PaymentProviders.io is free for merchants, always. When a merchant activates with a provider they found through us, some providers pay us a referral commission — and outbound links that can earn one are marked as such. Commissions never influence match scores, rankings, or which providers appear in results: matching is scored on fit alone.
